Abstract

This research method's was done by using design of field research and literature. The population in this
research is 30 employees of PT Bank OCBC NISP, Tbk Pematangsiantar. Data was collected through
questionnaries, interviews, documentation and observation. The analytical techniques used descriptive
qualitative and descriptive quantitative with double linear regression, coefficient of correlation and
determination, and hypothesis test.
The result of this research showed us: 1) The organizational communication is good, the organizational
culture is strong, and the employee performance is good. 2) The analysis of regression Ŷ = 10,536 + 0,232X1 +
0,178X2 means organizational communication and organizational culture have positive effect toward employee
performance 3) Value of r = 0,764 it means the organizational communication and organizational culture was
strong and positive toward employee performance. The fluctuation of employee performance can be explained
58,4% by organizational communication and organizational culture. 4) The hypothesis H0 is rejected, it means
the organizational communication and organizational culture have positive and significant effect toward
employee performance.
The suggestions from this study for the purpose on PT Bank OCBC NISP, Tbk Pematangsiantar to
improving the quality of organizational communication it is necessary to improve displayed menu of external
communication media. Then for organizational culture it is necessary to training on the acceptance of gift that
could pose a risk to employee and company. In addition to produce a better employee performance, it is
necessary to give a strict sanctions for employee who break the rules.
