Abstract

The formulation of this research problem is how the role of price and distributions cost to sales
volume at PT Permata Niaga Cabang Pematangsiantar. The method used in this paper is literature
research and field research. The data used are qualitative data and quantitative data, and data
collection techniques used are observation method, interview method and documentation method.
Then the technique of data analysis using descriptive analysis and comparative analysis
The results can be summarized as follows: 1. Determination of Selling price tends to rise every
semester. Distribution costs and sales volume each semester increased and decreased. 2. Prices that
tend to rise each semester resulted in decreased sales at the beginning of the month of price changes
and rising distribution costs resulting in increased sales and decreased distribution costs resulting in
declining sales. 3. Price hypothesis and distribution cost plays a role in increasing sales volume at PT
Permata Niaga Branch Pematangsiantar accepted.
As for suggestion of this research is: 1. To streamline the pricing strategy the company does
not need to always increase the price of the product by increasing the number of costs in each
semester but the cost can be increased in each year in amount not too much different than the year
before. 2. For the smoothness of distribution activities the company can increase the cost of
distribution considering the cost of distribution can increase sales volume. 3. Distribution costs can be
increased in tandem with increasing sales volume, for example by expanding the distribution marketing
area.
