Kecerdasan Emosional Serta Dampaknya Untuk Kinerja Pegawai Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Dan Penataan Ruang Kota Pematangsiantar

Every organization has a human resource management structure,
not only for private organizations but also for government-owned
organizations. Government organizations often use the concept of
good government, wherein this concept has often been used in the
last decade for use in public reform. The form of service to the
public is the main duty of civil servants to all citizens of society, in
order that the form of service can run well, good performance is
also needed. The research objective was to determine the effect of
intelligence on employee performance. The research method in this
study uses quantitative methods, the object of research is
Pematangsiantar City Office of Public Works and Spatial Planning,
the research sample is 67 civil servants who are employees. The
results showed that the independent variable was emotional
intelligence and the dependent variable was the employee's
performance with a normal distribution provided that the two-way
test value> Sig 0.05, which means that all variables are normally
distributed. Furthermore, the path calculation results produce a
positive result equation with a value of Y = 9.885 + 0.805, which
means that the influence of the emotional intelligence variable has
a positive effect on employee performance, and the test results to
answer the hypothesis (t test) show that t is 10.898 for the
emotional intelligence variable> with the results of the table of
degrees of confidence worth 1.99773 and a significance level of
0.000 <0.05, the conclusion is that emotional intelligence affects
employee performance
